I think this was officially the most playful wedding I have attended. This civil wedding party went down in a wildly vibrant trattoria in Munich – walls and furniture covered in bold floral prints, eccentric plates and cups, and the kind of Italian food you’d want to melt into (hello, giant burrata!). But first, the newlyweds took a little stroll through Munich’s scenic old town.

Noemi and Tim wanted to begin their wedding day with a calm, intimate moment together. Embracing Noemi’s half-Italian roots, they headed to Bar Centrale for a coffee date. Noemi mentioned that doing something “normal” – having coffee in the city while everyone else went about their day – helped calm their nerves before the registry appointment.
Afterward, they took the subway to their wedding at Standesamt Mandlstraße, where their friends and family were waiting. The official ceremony was short, but Noemi and Tim couldn’t stop beaming at each other. Following the ceremony, they celebrated with their closest guests in the English Garden, raising a glass of champagne under the June sun.

Prepare to see a lot of Schwabing! Julia and Jeff had their civil wedding at Standesamt Mandlstraße and in the evening, they embraced the bride’s heritage and the groom’s love for the Italian cucina with a party at Bar dell’Osteria in Schwabing. I captured their intimate civil wedding in the morning, then returned in the evening to document the second part of their celebration.

For this wedding at Standesamt Mandlstraße, the couple, who loves architecture, wanted some interesting architectural photos to add to their gallery wall of architectural travel memories. After their civil ceremony, we took a ride in an oldtimer bus to the Bayerisches Nationalmuseum in the heart of Munich, where they celebrated their wedding in a classy setting.

With a little teamwork from the witness and a registry staff member, they got it rolling while the groom steered.
